BBQ CHICKEN AND ONION PIZZA
Your Sims have mastered the art of fruitcake and grilled cheese. It is time to elevate their culinary repertoire with a dish that brings smoky, savory comfort straight to the dinner table. The BBQ CHICKEN AND ONION PIZZA is a fantastic custom recipe add-on that transforms the standard cooking experience into something truly gourmet. This isn't just another meal; it is a centerpiece for family dinners, a star attraction for restaurant menus, and a test of your Sim's Homestyle cooking prowess.
This add-on introduces a fully custom recipe that requires a bit of skill and a dash of creativity. Designed for the dedicated chef, this pizza is not available from the get-go. Your Sim must reach Cooking skill (Homestyle) Level 7 to unlock the secrets of this delicious pie. Once mastered, they can prepare it as a single serving for a quick lunch or opt for the large serving option to feed the whole household, making it a versatile addition to any kitchen.
Recipe Details and Required Ingredients
Understanding the components is key to a successful bake. The BBQ CHICKEN AND ONION PIZZA recipe calls for a specific blend of ingredients that your Sim will need to have on hand. While the base game provides the essentials, the true flavor comes from optional custom ingredients that enhance the experience.
What You Need to Cook
- Flour: The foundation of the dough. This can be standard flour or the custom Sugar/Flour from Cottage Living.
- Onion: For that sharp, savory bite.
- ANY Meat: The recipe is flexible, allowing you to use any meat your Sim has available, from chicken to beef.
- BBQ Sauce: The smoky heart of the dish. This is an optional custom ingredient, often created via the Preservation Canning Station.
One of the most player-friendly aspects of this mod is that recipes can still be cooked even if the Sim does not have the required ingredients. Custom ingredients are entirely optional, ensuring that you are never blocked from making this meal if you haven't delved into the canning or farming aspects of the game. The only real cost is a flat fee of 0 simoleons, making it a very economical dish to prepare.
How to Install and Get Cooking
Ready to add this to your game? Learning how to install this add-on is straightforward. The mod requires the Custom Food Objects mod to function, so ensure you have that installed first. Once you have downloaded the files, simply place them into your Mods folder, which is typically found in your Electronic Arts/The Sims 4 directory. Make sure to enable "Script Mods" in your game settings before launching.
For those looking to streamline their mod management, the foxygame.net launcher offers a seamless way to manage your library. It provides a one-click install feature that places the BBQ CHICKEN AND ONION PIZZA directly into the correct folders, eliminating the guesswork of manual installation and ensuring version compatibility with your current game build.
Compatibility and Game Features
This add-on is incredibly robust, designed to integrate smoothly with many of The Sims 4's core systems. It is compatible with Base Game and supports a wide range of DLCs and features. This makes it a safe and versatile choice for almost any player.
Supported Gameplay and DLCs
- Dine Out: The pizza appears in the restaurant menu under the Main Meal Menu, allowing you to serve it to patrons.
- Cottage Living: Works with the Simple Living Lot Challenge and uses custom ingredients from this pack.
- Group Cooking: Sims can prepare this meal together for a fun social activity.
- Parenthood: Can be packed as Sack Lunches for children to take to school.
- City Living & RoM: Compatible with DU dorm chests and Realm of Magic duplication.
- Freegan Trait: Sims with this trait can still enjoy the meal.
The dish is also toddler compatible, meaning your little ones can grab a slice and eat it on the floor, in high chairs, or on the sofa. Pets are not left out either; they can interact with the food and even eat it if they have the Glutton trait. The custom cooking steps and custom plates add a layer of visual polish that makes the meal feel truly integrated into the game.
Performance and Mod Conflicts
Worried about performance? The BBQ CHICKEN AND ONION PIZZA is optimized to run smoothly. The polycount for the multi-serving option is 1648 vertices/2092 polys (high) and 1395v/1590p (med). For the single serving, it is significantly lighter at 474v/606p (high) and 442v/542p (med). This ensures that even on lower-end machines, the game maintains a stable frame rate.
As for conflicts, this mod is designed to be a standalone addition. It should not conflict with any other mod, provided you have the required Custom Food Objects installed. The optional files for Sugar/Flour and Meat from Cottage Living are just that—optional—and will not cause issues if you choose to play without them. Always remember to keep your mods updated, and the foxygame.net launcher can help with auto-updates, ensuring that your copy of the BBQ CHICKEN AND ONION PIZZA remains compatible with the latest game patches without you having to manually check for new versions.
