Ava Redwood - female character
Some Sims are built for sunny suburban storylines, and then there is Ava Redwood. This custom female character drops a full noir-flavored private investigator into your neighborhoods, complete with a backstory that reads like a paperback thriller. If you want a Sim who feels like she walked straight out of a rain-soaked detective novel, this is the download you have been waiting for.
Who Is Ava Redwood?
Ava Redwood is a private detective who specializes in testing potential cheating husbands, and she does it the best way she knows how, using her feminine charms. Women often come to her worried about the fidelity of their partners, and she occasionally accepts commissions from men as well. Her ability to stay hidden and uncover secrets has made her highly sought after in certain circles.
She did not start out in this line of work. Ava was once a successful lawyer at a renowned firm, until she discovered her own husband was cheating with a colleague. That revelation pushed her to rethink the direction of her life entirely. Today she is mysterious, enigmatic, and very cunning, a perfectionist in everything she does, yet she keeps a playful and charming side that she uses to earn clients' trust and extract the information she needs.
What Is Included in the Download
The folder includes the Tray file, which holds the character herself. Place it in your Tray folder so the Sim shows up in your library. The creator also lists the custom content needed for Ava to appear exactly as shown in the preview images, and skipping any of it will change her look.
- Hair, skin, eyes, eyebrows
- Head preset, lips preset, eyes preset, body preset
- No EA lashes mod
- Eyeshadow, eyeliner, lipstick, blush
- Dress, eyelashes, spotlight skin detail, nails, shoes
- Inner corner of eye highlight
- Glasses (base game) and hat (Movie Hangout Stuff)
One note from the creator: the original Blush 02 Cherry from Alf-Si could not be located, so a similar alternative from the same creator, Blossom blush, is recommended instead. It keeps the same soft, rosy finish on Ava's cheeks.
How to Install Ava Redwood - female character for The Sims 4
Installation is straightforward once you know the routine. First, download Ava Redwood - female character and unzip the package. Drop the Tray files into your Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 > Tray folder. Next, move every piece of custom content into your Mods folder, keeping subfolders organized so you can find them later. Finally, launch the game, enable custom content and script mods in Game Options, and look for Ava in your gallery.
If you would rather skip the manual folder juggling, the foxygame.net launcher handles the whole process in a single click, pulling Ava Redwood - female character and her required CC straight into the correct directories without any guesswork. It also keeps an organized add-on catalog, so browsing for companion mods and future updates takes seconds instead of hours.
Version and Mod Compatibility
Ava works with current The Sims 4 builds, including the base game plus expansions such as Movie Hangout Stuff, which supplies her hat. Because she relies on presets and skin details, make sure your game is updated to a recent patch before installing. Most modern CC is compatible with the latest versions, but always check that your script mods, particularly the No EA Lashes mod, match your patch level. If something looks off after an update, re-downloading the affected files usually fixes it.
Storytelling Ideas
Ava shines in rotational saves. Pair her with the Detective career, build a dimly lit home office, and let her take on clients around Windenburg or San Myshuno. Her lawyer past makes a great conversation topic at dinner parties, and her charm trait moments practically write themselves. You can also create rival Sims who hire her, only to become suspects themselves.
Final Thoughts
Ava Redwood - female character is more than a pretty face in a trench coat. She arrives with a complete personality, a believable history, and a curated CC list that makes her look exactly as intended. Whether you play her as a hard-boiled investigator or a reformed attorney chasing one last case, she brings instant drama to any household. Download her, gather the listed content, and let the mysteries begin.
