Advanced Birth Certificate By LittleMsSam / Spanish translation by GatamolLunastra

If you have ever sent a Sim to the hospital in The Sims 4 and wished the resulting birth certificate felt more personal, this mod is exactly what you need. The Advanced Birth Certificate By LittleMsSam / Spanish translation by GatamolLunastra takes a small but meaningful piece of gameplay and expands it with thoughtful details. While the original mod by LittleMsSam adds depth to the birth certificate system, this Spanish translation by GatamolLunastra makes the experience fully accessible to Spanish-speaking players. It is a perfect example of how community mods can refine the smallest corners of the game.

What Does the Advanced Birth Certificate Mod Do?

This mod focuses entirely on the birth certificate that was introduced with the Get to Work expansion pack. In the base game, when your Sim goes to the hospital to give birth through a rabbithole interaction, they receive a generic certificate. The Advanced Birth Certificate By LittleMsSam / Spanish translation by GatamolLunastra changes that in three distinct ways. First, it ensures that every Sim who gives birth at the hospital receives a certificate, so you never miss out on this keepsake. Second, it allows you to rename the certificates after they are placed in your Sim's inventory or home. Third, and most impressively, it adds unique certificate designs for occult life states.

Unique Certificates for Occult Sims

Vampire babies, mermaid babies, spellcaster babies, and werewolf babies no longer have to settle for the standard human certificate. Instead, each occult life state gets its own visually distinct certificate. This small touch adds a layer of role-playing depth that many players appreciate, especially those who enjoy legacy challenges or storytelling. The mod seamlessly integrates with the existing hospital system, so you do not need to learn any new interactions. Simply send your pregnant Sim to the hospital as usual, and the correct certificate will appear in their inventory after the birth.

Why Choose the Spanish Translation?

GatamolLunastra has done a fantastic job translating the mod's interface text and descriptions into natural, fluent Spanish. If you play The Sims 4 in Spanish, this version ensures that all the new text matches the rest of your game's language. The translation covers the certificate names, the rename interaction, and any tooltips or menu options added by the mod. This is a huge quality-of-life improvement for players who prefer to play in their native language. Keep in mind that this is only the translation file. To use it, you must also download the original mod from LittleMsSam's page, as the translation does not contain the core script or tuning data.

Compatibility with Game Versions

The mod requires the Get to Work expansion pack, as it builds on the hospital and birth certificate system from that pack. It is also compatible with the Vampires, Island Living, Realm of Magic, and Werewolves game packs, since those introduce the occult life states mentioned above. The mod generally works with the latest patches of The Sims 4, but as with any mod, it is wise to check for updates after a major game update. LittleMsSam is known for keeping her mods up to date, so you can usually find a fresh version shortly after a patch. The Spanish translation by GatamolLunastra is updated alongside the original, ensuring you always have a matching pair.

How to Install the Mod

Installing this mod is straightforward, even for players who are new to modding The Sims 4. Here is a simple step-by-step guide on how to install the translation and the original mod:

• First, download the original Advanced Birth Certificate mod from LittleMsSam's official page on CurseForge or her Patreon.
• Next, download the Spanish translation file from GatamolLunastra's page. The file will be a .package or .ts4script file, depending on the mod's structure.
• Extract the downloaded files if they are in a ZIP or RAR archive. You should see one or more files with the .package extension.
• Place both the original mod files and the translation files into your Mods folder. This folder is typically located at Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 > Mods.
• Make sure you do not place the files in a subfolder that is more than one level deep, as The Sims 4 may not read them correctly.
• Launch the game and go to Game Options > Other to enable mods and script mods if you have not already done so.
• Restart the game completely after enabling mods, then load your save and test the mod by sending a pregnant Sim to the hospital.

If you prefer a more streamlined approach, the foxygame.net launcher offers a one-click install for many popular mods. The launcher automatically places files in the correct folder and checks for version compatibility, which saves you the hassle of manual extraction. You can search for Advanced Birth Certificate By LittleMsSam / Spanish translation by GatamolLunastra directly in the launcher's add-on catalog, and it will handle the installation for you. The launcher also provides auto-updates, so when LittleMsSam releases a patch-compatible version, you will be notified and can update with a single click. This is particularly useful for players who juggle multiple mods and want to avoid the risk of broken saves after a game update.
