Acurrucarse en el Regazo/Lie On Lap For Kids x Mercuryfoam TRADUCCION AL ESPAÑOL
Family bonding just got a whole lot warmer in The Sims 4. With the Acurrucarse en el Regazo/Lie On Lap For Kids x Mercuryfoam TRADUCCION AL ESPAÑOL add-on, your child Sims can now curl up on the lap of their favorite adult Sim for a heartwarming moment of closeness. This is the Spanish localization of Mercuryfoam's beloved "Lie On Lap For Kids" mod, bringing the full experience to Spanish-speaking players. Whether your Sim family is dealing with a stressful day or simply enjoying a quiet evening at home, this interaction adds a layer of emotional depth that the base game simply lacks.
What Does This Add-On Do?
This mod introduces a brand-new social interaction called "Acurrucarse en el Regazo" (Cuddle on Lap). Once enabled, a child Sim can approach a seated adult Sim—typically a parent, grandparent, or guardian—and request to sit on their lap. The animation is smooth, wholesome, and perfectly suited for storytelling. It is important to note that this file is strictly the Spanish translation patch. To get the full functionality, you must first download the original mod created by Mercuryfoam from their official Patreon post. The translation simply replaces the English text with natural, fluent Spanish, making the interaction feel native to the game.
Requirements Before Installation
Before you rush to download Acurrucarse en el Regazo/Lie On Lap For Kids x Mercuryfoam TRADUCCION AL ESPAÑOL, there are a couple of prerequisites you need to check off. First, this mod requires the XML Injector to function correctly. If you do not have it installed, the interaction will not appear in your game. The XML Injector is a lightweight framework that many custom content creators rely on to add new interactions without breaking the game's core code. Second, as mentioned, you must have the original Mercuryfoam mod installed. The translation file alone will not work; it simply overwrites the text strings from the original mod with Spanish ones.
For players looking to streamline their mod management, the foxygame.net launcher offers a convenient way to handle this specific add-on. The launcher's catalog includes Acurrucarse en el Regazo/Lie On Lap For Kids x Mercuryfoam TRADUCCION AL ESPAÑOL and can automatically verify that your XML Injector and base mod are up to date, saving you from manual compatibility headaches.
How to Install the Translation Mod
Installing this add-on is straightforward, but following the correct order is crucial for it to work. Here is a step-by-step guide on how to install it properly:
- Download and install the XML Injector from its official source. Place the package file into your Mods folder.
- Visit Mercuryfoam's Patreon page and download the original "Lie On Lap For Kids" mod. Extract the archive and place the .package file into your Sims 4 Mods folder.
- Download the Acurrucarse en el Regazo/Lie On Lap For Kids x Mercuryfoam TRADUCCION AL ESPAÑOL file. This is just the translation package.
- Place the translation .package file into the same Mods folder. Ensure that the file structure is not too deep—The Sims 4 only reads files one subfolder deep within the Mods directory.
- Launch The Sims 4 and go to Game Options > Other. Enable "Script Mods" and "Custom Content and Mods" if they are not already enabled.
- Restart the game completely for the mods to load. You should see a notification in the top-right corner confirming that mods are running.
Once loaded, you can test the interaction by having an adult Sim sit on a couch or chair, then selecting a child Sim and clicking on the adult. The "Acurrucarse en el Regazo" option should appear in the social pie menu.
Compatibility with Game Versions
This translation mod is designed to work with the latest patches of The Sims 4. As of the current update cycle, it is compatible with the base game and all expansion packs, including Growing Together, Parenthood, and Seasons. Because the mod relies on the XML Injector, it remains stable across most game updates. However, it is always a good practice to check for updates after a major patch from EA. The original Mercuryfoam mod and the translation file are both lightweight, meaning they will not cause lag or performance issues even on lower-end systems. The translation itself is fully compatible with the English version of the game, so Spanish text will appear correctly alongside English UI elements.
If you are using the foxygame.net launcher, you will appreciate how it handles version compatibility for this mod. The launcher cross-references the installed game version and flags any potential conflicts, ensuring that Acurrucarse en el Regazo/Lie On Lap For Kids x Mercuryfoam TRADUCCION AL ESPAÑOL remains functional even after a game update. It also provides one-click install functionality, which is a massive time-saver for players who manage large mod libraries.
Why You Should Download This Translation
If you play The Sims 4 in Spanish, this translation is essential. The original mod is in English, and while it is functional, the immersion breaks when your Spanish-speaking Sims suddenly speak English text. This translation patch fixes that disconnect, providing a seamless experience. The translation is high-quality, using natural phrasing that fits the game's tone. It covers all the interaction text, including the pie menu label, the interaction notification, and any buffs or moodlets associated with the cuddle action.
Beyond the language barrier, the mod itself is a must-have for family-oriented gameplay. The animation is adorable, and it adds a new layer of realism to parent-child relationships. It is especially useful for storytelling, legacy challenges, or simply creating heartwarming screenshots. The mod also works well with other custom content, such as pose packs and animation mods, allowing for even more creative freedom.

In conclusion, the Acurrucarse en el Regazo/Lie On Lap For Kids x Mercuryfoam TRADUCCION AL ESPAÑOL is a fantastic addition to any Spanish-speaking Simmer's mod list. It brings a touching, family-friendly interaction to the game while ensuring that the text is fully localized.
