How to Install the Spanish Translation
The installation process is straightforward, but it is crucial to follow the steps correctly to avoid any issues. Here is a simple guide on how to install this translation mod:
- First, download and install the original "Photographer Active Career" mod by kiarasims4mods from the official CurseForge page. This is mandatory because the translation file only contains the Spanish strings and does not include the career logic.
- After downloading the translation file from the same source, locate your The Sims 4 Mods folder. This is typically found in Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 > Mods.
- Extract the downloaded translation file if it is in a ZIP or RAR format. You should see a .package file or a folder containing the translation.
- Place this file directly inside the original mod's folder. The original description explicitly states: "you have to put this file inside the mod folder." This is the most important step to ensure the translation overwrites the English text correctly.
- Once placed, launch The Sims 4 and go to Game Options > Other to enable "Script Mods" and "Custom Content and Mods" if you have not already done so. Restart the game for the changes to take effect.
After completing these steps, you will see the career fully translated into Spanish. The translation is comprehensive, covering all the nuances of the original English text, from the career panel to the daily task notifications.
