Witcher Craft
If you ever wanted to feel like Geralt from the Witcher series while playing Minecraft, you are in the right place. Witcher Craft transforms your blocky world into a dark fantasy hunting ground filled with magic, alchemy, and creatures that actually fight back. This ambitious add-on introduces a complete witcher progression system, letting you brew potions, apply blade oils, and cast signs just like a professional monster slayer.
What Witcher Craft Adds to Minecraft
Witcher Craft is far more than a simple weapon pack. It rebuilds several core systems around the fantasy of being a trained witcher. You get a full sign wheel, a portable alchemy menu, school-specific armor sets, and a roster of hostile monsters that drop materials used in crafting. Every element feeds into the next, so preparing for a hunt feels deliberate rather than random.
The add-on runs on modern Minecraft versions, including 1.20.x and 1.21.x, and is built for the Forge loader. If you prefer Fabric, check the project page for the latest compatibility notes before you download Witcher Craft, since loader support can vary between releases.
Signs: The Heart of Combat
Signs are powerful magic spells that help you fight monsters and defend against incoming damage. There are five basic signs in Witcher Craft: Yrden, Quen, Igni, Axii, and Aard. You can cast one sign every 45 seconds, or every 22.5 seconds with the proper gear.
To open the Sign Menu, press Tab. Choose your sign by clicking one of the five buttons, then press R to cast it.
- Yrden — a magical trap that slows every enemy entering its range.
- Quen — a protective shield that absorbs incoming damage.
- Igni — a burst of flames that ignites enemies.
- Axii — a projectile that temporarily stuns a target.
- Aard — a projectile that throws an opponent backward.
Alchemy: Potions, Oils, and Bombs
Alchemy is a very important part of being a witcher, and Witcher Craft treats it that way. You can brew powerful potions, weapon oils, and bombs wherever you are. Press B to open the Alchemy Menu, a portable crafting table with eight slots. Slot one holds your alchemy base, slots two through seven hold ingredients, and the finished product appears in slot eight after you click Craft.
Potions work as drinkable buffs. Golden Oriole removes poison and grants immunity, Cat lets you see in total darkness, Swallow accelerates health regeneration, and Thunderbolt increases damage dealt at the cost of a slow effect. Others like White Honey, Blizzard, Full Moon, and Tawny Owl round out a deep brewing list.
Oils are applied to your sword and add bonus damage against a specific foe group. Insectoid, Necrophage, Vampire, Beast, Specter, Ogroid, Cursed, and Draconid Oils each target different enemies, while Hanged Man's Venom and Relics Oil cover the stranger cases.
Bombs are thrown projectiles that affect clustered groups. Devil's Puffball applies poison, Dancing Star sets entities on fire, Grapeshot deals extra damage, Northern Wind freezes, Samum blinds, and Dimeritium Bomb clears active effects.
Keeping all of this organized is much easier with a launcher that manages add-ons for you. The foxygame.net launcher installs Witcher Craft in a single click and automatically keeps it updated, so your sign wheel and alchemy recipes never break after a game patch.
Witcher Gear and School Sets
Witcher Craft includes gear from six witcher schools, and each set promotes a different playstyle. These armors demand far more crafting materials than standard Minecraft gear, and every piece requires its own diagram. Diagrams can be looted from chests or bought from villagers, which turns gearing up into an adventure of its own.
- Cat School — more attack damage and increased movement speed.
- Bear School — passive damage resistance with reduced movement speed.
- Wolf School — bombs have increased power.
- Viper School — oils have increased power.
- Manticore School — potions last longer.
- Griffin School — signs have reduced cooldown.
Monsters and How to Prepare
New hostile monsters spawn while you explore, and their loot becomes alchemy materials. Currently you can encounter Drowners, Rotfiends, Foglets, Bruxas, Graveirs, Higher Vampires, Wraiths, Nekkers, and Bandits. Each one rewards preparation over brute force.
Recipe viewers like Just Enough Items are strongly recommended for general crafting. For alchemy recipes, your best resources are general witcher knowledge and the project wiki. Typing /wiki in chat gives you a link to the wiki home page while you play.
How to Install Witcher Craft for Minecraft
To get started, install the Forge loader for your Minecraft version, place the Witcher Craft file in your mods folder, and launch the game. If you are unsure about how to install mods manually, a launcher with a built-in add-on catalog removes most of the guesswork. Witcher Craft for Minecraft is also allowed in modpacks and on multiplayer servers as long as you notify the author, for example on Discord.
Witcher Craft is an unofficial fan work and is not approved or endorsed by CD PROJEKT RED. Most in-game graphics were created by CD PROJEKT RED for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and are used here to maximize immersion. If you want to share feedback, report issues, or suggest ideas, the Discord server is the fastest way to reach the developer.
Whether you are chasing your first Drowner or hunting a Higher Vampire, Witcher Craft delivers a surprisingly complete witcher experience inside Minecraft. Grab your silver sword, brew a few Swallow potions, and start your training.
