The Body Boosts
Minecraft players are always looking for fresh ways to grow stronger, and The Body Boosts delivers exactly that. This add-on turns ordinary actions like jumping, eating, and fighting into training sessions for a virtual body. Every body part has its own progression path, and the rewards range from extra inventory space to bonus health. If you want a deeper survival experience, this mod deserves a spot in your modpack.
What The Body Boosts Adds to Minecraft
The core idea is simple: your character has a body, and that body gets stronger through use. Each body part levels up when you perform related activities, and each level grants upgrade points you can spend on passive bonuses. The mod is designed for Forge on Minecraft 1.16 and newer versions, so players on modern releases can jump right in. It is not available for Fabric or for versions before 1.16, since some of the mechanics it relies on simply do not exist there.
Body Parts and How to Train Them
Head
Gain experience to train your head. Upgrades include bonus experience from mining and killing, cheaper villager trades, and faster attack speed.
Arms
Hit mobs to build up your arms. You can unlock bonus reach for attacking, mining, and placing blocks, extra attack damage with any weapon or bare fists, and stronger knockback that sends enemies flying.
Legs
Jumping trains your legs. Upgrades boost jump height so you can clear two blocks in a single leap, increase walking and sprinting speed, and improve swimming speed so boats become optional.
Back
Healing after taking damage trains your back. The standout upgrade is extra inventory space, opened with the I keybind, which finally solves Minecraft's storage headaches. You can also reduce knockback from Hoglins and Iron Golems, and stack damage resistance on top of netherite armor.
Internal Organs
Eating food trains your internal organs, and plain foods like dried kelp work just as well as steak. Upgrades grant up to five extra hearts, a small saturation refill each new day, and better luck when opening loot chests.
Enchantments and Potions
The Body boost enchantment goes up to level III and speeds up training for a specific body part depending on the gear it is applied to. Helmets boost the head, chestplates boost the back, leggings and boots boost the legs, and swords boost the arms. You can find enchanted books in jungle temple and desert pyramid chests, on randomly enchanted gear, from librarian villagers, or through the enchanting table.
The potion of Body boost is another option. Drinking it grants the Body boosted effect for three minutes, with a long eight-minute variant and an amplified ninety-second version that hits harder. It appears in the same jungle temple and desert pyramid loot chests and cannot be brewed.
Configuration and Commands
Modpack creators will appreciate the configuration file, found at the_body_boosts_config.toml inside the config folder of your instance. You can adjust how fast each body part trains and how powerful each boost becomes. The /body command lets you set body XP, max out or reset specific parts, and fine-tune individual upgrade levels, which makes testing and balancing straightforward.
If you would rather skip manual setup, the foxygame.net launcher offers a one-click install for The Body Boosts, handling loader selection and version matching automatically so you can start training immediately.
