SwiftTP: Lightweight TPA and Homes Mod for Minecraft Servers

SwiftTP delivers simple TPA and homes teleportation without bloat for Minecraft. Download SwiftTP for Fabric and keep your server fast and focused.

SwiftTP

Most Minecraft server owners know the pain: you want a simple teleport system, and suddenly you are staring at a mod with 900 features, a giant GUI, and commands nobody asked for. SwiftTP takes the opposite approach. It does TPA and Homes, and it does them well. Nothing more, nothing less.

If you have been searching for a lean alternative to bulky essentials-style mods, this is worth a closer look. SwiftTP is a lightweight, performance-focused TPA plus Homes mod built specifically for Fabric servers, and it keeps its footprint small while still handling the tricky parts of teleportation properly.

What SwiftTP Actually Does

The feature list is refreshingly short, and that is the point. Here is what you get out of the box:

  • /tpa <player> — request to teleport to another player
  • /tpahere <player> — request another player to teleport to you
  • /tpaccept and /tpdeny — accept or deny requests, with clickable buttons in chat
  • /sethome [name], /tphome [name], and /delhome [name] — full named home management
  • Configurable home limits, TPA cooldowns, and warmups for both TPA and homes
  • Permission-based bypasses for cooldowns, warmups, and home limits

Warmups cancel automatically when you move or take damage, which keeps teleportation fair without extra plugins. There are no combat checks, and the developer is upfront about that. If you need combat tagging, pair it with something else.

Supported Minecraft Versions and Loader

SwiftTP currently supports Fabric for Minecraft 1.20.5, 1.20.6, and the 1.21.x line, along with the newer 26.1 and 26.2 releases. Fabric builds are version-specific, so always grab the build that matches your server version. Forge and NeoForge support is promised "some day, some how," but for now Fabric is the only game in town.

There is also a separate plugin version for Bukkit-based servers if you run Paper or Spigot instead of Fabric. Just search for the SwiftTP plugin listing on CurseForge to find it.

A Note on Launcher Convenience

If you would rather skip manual file juggling, the foxygame.net launcher bundles SwiftTP into its add-on catalog, so you can drop it into your setup with a single click and let auto-updates handle future releases. It is a handy shortcut for server admins who do not want to babysit version matching every time Mojang ships a patch.

How to Install SwiftTP for Minecraft

Getting started takes about five minutes. Follow these steps:

  • Install Fabric Loader for your Minecraft version.
  • Install the required Fabric API.
  • Download SwiftTP for Minecraft, choosing the Fabric build that matches your server version.
  • Drop the .jar file into your server's mods/ folder.
  • Start the server and let the config generate.

One warning worth repeating: do not use a Fabric jar built for a different Minecraft version just because the version numbers look close. That is the fastest route to a crash log.

Configuration and Permissions

SwiftTP generates its configuration after the first server start, and on Fabric it uses JSON rather than YAML. The file lives under a swifttp directory in your config folder. Key settings include request-expiry-seconds, request-cooldown-seconds, warmup-seconds for both teleport and homes, and max-homes. Setting a warmup to 0 gives you instant teleportation.

Permissions cover teleport.use, home.use, and bypass nodes for cooldowns, warmups, and home limits. Bypass permissions default to OP, so staff can move freely while regular players follow the rules.

Homes, Storage, and Safety

Homes are stored per player using their UUID in individual JSON files, and storage happens asynchronously to avoid blocking the main thread. Corrupted home files get backed up automatically, which is a thoughtful touch for anyone who has lost data to a bad shutdown.

Teleport requests are also handled carefully. Expiration, player disconnects, duplicate requests, conflicting requests, and repeated accept or deny clicks are all managed properly. The goal is predictable behavior without unnecessary server overhead, and it shows.

Why Choose SwiftTP

SwiftTP is a passion project, and that is clear from the design philosophy. No economy, no shops, no claims, no sprawling GUI, no 700 unrelated commands. Just teleportation done right. For small survival servers, SMPs, and anyone tired of bloated mods, it is an easy recommendation. Download SwiftTP, drop it in your mods folder, and enjoy a teleport system that stays out of your way.
