Quark VRO - Subtler Shields is a lightweight resource pack for Minecraft Java Edition. It modifies the position of the shield in first-person view, lowering it significantly to reduce screen obstruction. The shield's appearance, texture, and animations remain completely unchanged—only its vertical placement is adjusted. This means you can still see your shield's enchantment glint and custom designs, but it no longer blocks a large portion of your field of view.
The pack was extracted from Quark VRO, a popular visual overhaul mod created by Vazkii. With explicit permission from Vazkii, this standalone version was released so that players who do not use Quark VRO can still benefit from the subtler shield placement. If you already use the full Quark VRO mod, you do not need this pack, as the feature is built in.
How It Improves Your Gameplay
