NOTLIVES's Samurai Dog Full Color
Minecraft wolves have always been loyal companions, but their default look can feel a little plain after countless adventures. What if your trusty canine could charge into battle wielding a gleaming katana, its eyes burning with supernatural fire? That is exactly what NOTLIVES's Samurai Dog Full Color delivers. This resource pack reimagines every tamed wolf as a fearsome samurai warrior, complete with a curved blade strapped to its back and luminous eyes that pierce the darkness. The best part? It now supports every single vanilla collar color, so your pack can look coordinated and deadly no matter which dye you use.
What Makes This Add-On Special?
NOTLIVES's Samurai Dog Full Color for Minecraft is not just a simple retexture. It injects personality and drama into one of the game's most beloved mobs. The creator drew inspiration from a sudden burst of creativity—"i wasn't bored this time," they joked—and the result is a pack that feels both playful and epic. Let's break down the standout features.
Glowing Katanas and Fiery Eyes
The centerpiece of the design is the katana. Each wolf carries a beautifully detailed sword that seems to shimmer with an inner light, making your pets visible even in the deepest caves or during nighttime raids. Paired with the katana are the eyes: they glow with an intense, fiery hue that gives every wolf a spectral, battle-hardened aura. Whether you are exploring a woodland mansion or defending a village, your samurai dogs will look absolutely menacing.
All Vanilla Color Variants
Early versions of the pack only worked with the default red collar, but the latest update changes everything. Now, NOTLIVES's Samurai Dog Full Color includes custom textures for all 16 vanilla dye colors. Dye your wolf's collar blue, green, pink, or even lime, and the katana and eye glow will adapt to match. This means you can assemble a rainbow of samurai wolves, each one distinct and ready for action. The attention to detail ensures that no matter which color you choose, the visual quality remains top-notch.

The glowing eyes and katana really pop when shaders are active.
