Not Enough God Damn Ores
If you've ever played a modded Minecraft pack with multiple tech mods, you know the pain of having five different copper ingots that don't stack. Not Enough God Damn Ores is the mod that ends that frustration. Built for Minecraft 1.9.4 and running on Forge, it unifies all those duplicate ores and ingots into a single, consistent type—without ever touching world generation. You simply configure which mod's resources you prefer, and the mod handles the rest automatically.
What Is Not Enough God Damn Ores?
Originally a port of TooManyGodDamnOres with added features from TooManyDanyOres, Not Enough God Damn Ores for Minecraft takes a unique approach to ore unification. Instead of disabling or altering ore spawns, it works after you mine a block. When an ore is harvested, the mod checks its OreDictionary name—like "oreCopper"—and if you've set a replacement, the dropped block is instantly swapped for the version you chose. It also scans your inventory periodically and converts any existing items that match the configured rules. This means even ores you collected before setting up the mod get unified.
Core Features
- Post-harvest ore and ingot replacement based on OreDictionary entries
- Inventory merge function that runs every X ticks (default 100, adjustable up to 1200)
- Exclusion system to protect specific blocks from being replaced or used as replacements
- Full Silk Touch compatibility—replaced blocks keep their placeable form
- Lightweight and non-intrusive, respecting other mods' HarvestDropsEvent
- Simple configuration file with clear key-value syntax
