Money&Coins: Ultimate Coin Economy Mod for Minecraft

Add a six-tier coin economy to your Minecraft server with Money&Coins for Minecraft. Craft, trade, and manage wealth with commands and scoreboards.

Money&Coins: Build a Thriving Player Economy in Minecraft

Running a Minecraft server often means finding creative ways to keep players engaged. Whether you are managing a bustling survival world or a tight-knit SMP, an economy system can transform how players interact. Money&Coins delivers exactly that: a lightweight, fully player-driven currency mod that adds six tiers of coins, a dedicated wallet menu, and a complete command suite for trading and administration.

What Does Money&Coins Add to Your World?

At its core, Money&Coins introduces six coin tiers: wood, stone, iron, gold, diamond, and netherite. Each tier is exactly 50 times more valuable than the one below it. That means 50 wood coins equal one stone coin, and a single netherite coin is worth a staggering 312,500,000 wood coins. The total value of your wealth is tracked in dollars ($), based on the wood coin as the base unit.

Coins stack up to 50 instead of the usual 64, keeping inventory management meaningful. The mod is designed purely for player-to-player economies, so villager trades remain untouched for now.

How to Install Money&Coins for Minecraft

Getting started is straightforward. Money&Coins for Minecraft supports popular modded versions across the Forge loader, and the mod was built entirely with MCreator. To install it manually, place the downloaded JAR file into your mods folder alongside Forge. If you prefer a smoother route, the foxygame.net launcher handles the entire setup for you, letting you add Money&Coins with a single click and keeping it updated automatically as new versions arrive.

Using the Coin Menu

Press the "0" key to open your personal coin menu. From here you can deposit coins by right-clicking them in your hand, or shift-right-click to deposit multiple at once. The menu displays your total balance in dollars and offers Take 1, Take 25, and Take All options for withdrawing coins back into your inventory.

The Converter Block

The mod adds one block: the converter. Place 50 lower-tier coins inside to receive one coin of the next tier up. Downgrading is even easier, as you can break higher coins into smaller ones directly from your inventory. Crafting the converter itself requires a modest amount of resources, so early-game players can work toward it gradually.

Commands, Scoreboards, and Trading

Every deposit and withdrawal updates a scoreboard named "Coins," which means you can build leaderboards to crown the richest player on your server. The mod includes two command roots:

  • /coins for players: pay others, recalculate your balance, and create sell offers with a price and custom message. Offers expire after five minutes, and you have a ten-minute cooldown between them.
  • /coinsmod for moderators: get, add, remove, or reset any player's money, with an optional silent flag.

Sell offers add real depth to trading. You can offer items in your main hand to a specific player or to everyone, review incoming offers, and accept or decline them. Payment is handled automatically, and you cannot accept an offer you cannot afford.

Death, Gamerules, and Customization

Since version 1.1.0, dying causes a portion of your money to drop on the ground. Two gamerules control this behavior:

  • coinDropRate sets the drop proportion in tenths of a percent. The default is 50, meaning 5% of your wealth drops. Set it to 0 to disable drops entirely, or 1000 to drop everything.
  • doDroppedCoinDespawn determines whether dropped coins vanish over time. It defaults to true.

Server owners who want a punishing economy can crank coinDropRate up, while casual servers can turn it off completely. This flexibility makes Money&Coins suitable for everything from hardcore survival to creative-friendly communities.

Why Add Money&Coins to Your Server?

If you want to download Money&Coins and give your players a genuine sense of progression, this mod delivers a complete package. The tiered coin system creates natural wealth gaps, the sell offer commands enable player-run shops without plugins, and the scoreboard integration makes competition visible. The mod is free to include in modpacks, so sharing it with friends is encouraged.

Start by crafting your first wood coin, open the menu with "0," and watch your server's economy come alive. With six tiers, robust commands, and configurable death mechanics, Money&Coins turns simple currency into a core part of your Minecraft experience.
