LadShocolad's Christmas Gift
Winter in Minecraft is about to get a whole lot merrier. LadShocolad's Christmas Gift is a festive content mod that sprinkles holiday cheer across every biome, filling your world with gift boxes, candy canes, and a brand-new ore tier to chase down. Whether you are building a snowy village or just want an excuse to hoard presents, this add-on delivers a cozy seasonal experience that fits right into vanilla survival.
It is worth noting upfront that this is the creator's first public mod, built in MCreator, and it supports both English and Russian languages. A few sentences carry translation quirks, but the charm of the content more than makes up for it. If you are ready to deck the halls of your blocky world, here is everything you need to know before you download LadShocolad's Christmas Gift.
Supported Versions and Loaders
Before installing, check that your setup matches. The mod targets two classic releases, so most players on older worlds can still join the fun.
- Minecraft 1.17.1
- Minecraft 1.16.5
Both builds use the Forge loader, which means you will need a compatible Forge installation for whichever version you pick. Running the wrong loader or a mismatched game version is the most common reason players see a crash on startup, so double-check before you launch.
What the Mod Adds
The headline feature is the Christmas Gift structure. These boxes generate naturally in all biomes and even inside existing structures, and each spawn produces between one and three gifts. Break one open and items and blocks tumble out, turning exploration into a mini treasure hunt. For something grander, keep an eye out for the Giant Christmas Gift: a 5x5 concrete statue that hides a whopping 27 gifts inside its hollow interior.
Blocks and Building Options
Builders get a solid palette of festive decorations to work with. The candy cane set is especially flexible, offering a full range of shapes so you can craft fences, pathways, and holiday facades without compromise.
- Christmas Gift block
- Candy cane block, slab, stairs, door, and trapdoor
- Christmas Diamond Block
Items, Food, and Tools
The food items come with playful status effects that reward risky snacking. The Candycane inflicts Nausea for 5.5 seconds but grants Jump Boost for 6 seconds, making it a strange but useful mobility tool. The Mandarine is a simple snack, while the Golden Mandarine is the real prize, handing out Luck for 40 seconds, Regeneration for 20 seconds, and Strength for 25 seconds.
The star of the show is the Christmas Diamond. Mine it, craft it, and you unlock a complete tool set: pickaxe, axe, sword, shovel, and hoe. Rounding things out, the mod adds one new painting featuring a Christmas block on snowy plains, plus four fresh achievements to chase for completionists.
How to Install
Getting set up is straightforward if you follow the usual Forge routine. Here is the process for LadShocolad's Christmas Gift for Minecraft:
- Install the correct Forge version for 1.17.1 or 1.16.5.
- Locate your Minecraft mods folder.
- Drop the downloaded mod file into that folder.
