Feline Enthusiasts
If you have ever wanted to explore a richer, more lively Minecraft world while keeping your feline friends close, Feline Enthusiasts is the modpack for you. Designed as a lighter, easier-to-run alternative to Cat Enjoyers, this pack focuses on performance without sacrificing the thrill of discovery. Whether you are a seasoned modded player or a newcomer looking to spice up your survival experience, this pack delivers a purr-fectly balanced adventure.
What Is Feline Enthusiasts?
At its core, Feline Enthusiasts is a curated collection of mods that enhances the vanilla game with new biomes, structures, and dimensions. Built specifically for Minecraft 1.17.1 on the Fabric loader, it offers a smooth experience even on modest hardware. The pack's philosophy is simple: provide a similar experience to Cat Enjoyers but with a focus on accessibility and performance.
The centerpiece of this modpack is Terralith 2.0, a world generation mod that completely overhauls the Overworld. It brings the dramatic terrain, towering mountains, and deep caves that players love from 1.18 into the 1.17.1 environment. This means you can enjoy the expanded world height and depth without needing to update your game version.
Key Features and Mods
World Generation with Terralith 2.0
Terralith 2.0 is the star of the show. It transforms the Overworld with over 60 new biomes, from lush cherry groves to barren badlands. The mod also introduces the 1.18 cave generation, meaning you can explore massive underground caverns and intricate cave systems. Every journey becomes an expedition into the unknown.
Nether and End Enhancements
The Nether and End are not left out. Better Nether adds new biomes, mobs, and blocks to the fiery dimension, making it far more interesting than the vanilla version. While the top parts of the Nether remain mostly vanilla, the new additions breathe life into the lower reaches. For the End, Better End introduces stunning new biomes and unique creatures, turning the once-empty dimension into a vibrant destination.
For those who want the full Amplified Nether experience, the original description notes that it is not available as a mod for 1.17.1. However, you can download the datapack separately and place it into your world's datapack folder. This small step unlocks even more dramatic Nether terrain.
Structures and Dungeons
The Overworld is scattered with new dungeons and structures, thanks to various structure mods. These additions make exploration rewarding, as you never know what you might find behind the next hill. From abandoned castles to hidden underground vaults, there is always something new to discover.
