ESP Mod for Minecraft: Find Any Mob Through Walls

ESP for Minecraft highlights mobs through walls by matching floating name labels, with Mob, Block, and Gemstone modes. Download ESP today.

ESP

If you have ever wandered through Hypixel SkyBlock hunting a single named mob in a crowded lobby, you already understand the problem ESP solves. ESP is a client-side Fabric mod that highlights mobs by reading the floating text labels above them. Type the text you want to find, and ESP outlines every mob whose label matches, through walls with a glow outline and in line of sight with a translucent box. It was built for Hypixel SkyBlock, where almost everything worth finding wears a floating name plate.

What ESP Actually Does

Every scan, ESP collects the floating text labels near you, including text displays and custom-named entities. It checks each label against your configured patterns. When a label matches, the mod finds the mob sitting just below it and highlights that mob until it leaves, dies, or stops matching. Because detection keys off label text, ESP works on anything Hypixel names, including custom mobs that use a player model.

Two-Layer Highlight System

The visual feedback comes in two parts. The glow outline uses the vanilla glowing effect and stays visible through walls, which makes it ideal for locating mobs you cannot see yet. The depth-tested overlay draws a translucent coloured box matching the mob's hitbox, visible only in line of sight. Together they cover both situations, and you can toggle the overlay and adjust its opacity in the config.

Pattern Matching and Ten Independent Groups

ESP gives you ten fully separate highlight groups. Each group has its own patterns, glow colour, scan radius, scan interval, and display name, so you can run a tight short-range setup for one target and a wide sweep for another.

  • Plain terms match if the label contains that word, so magmatic catches any label containing "magmatic".
  • Quoted terms require all words inside the quotes, so "sea archer" matches a label containing both "sea" and "archer".
  • Commas act as OR, letting one group watch several targets at once.
  • Unicode escapes like \uXXXX let you match custom server glyphs you cannot type, including Hypixel's mob-type icons.

Run /esp types in chat, or use the Mob Type Codes button on the Global tab, to see every type with its code. Click a line to copy it, then paste it into a Patterns field.

Beyond Labels: Mob, Block, and Gemstone Modes

Label matching is only part of the package. Mob ESP highlights every entity of the types you approve, independent of labels, which is what you want when the goal is "all zombies" rather than "the mob under a label that says X". Mob Type ESP goes further and highlights mobs by their Hypixel bestiary type, such as Aquatic, Undead, or Magmatic, by reading the custom glyph Hypixel's resource pack stamps on each name plate. Block ESP highlights approved block types through walls with configurable colour, opacity, and scan radius. Gemstone ESP highlights gemstone blocks and groups nearby ones into clumps, with optional centre boxes and a guide line to the nearest clump, plus mineshaft auto-detection that enables only the relevant gem and restores your setup when you leave. Safari ESP forces a fixed critter list while you are in a Safari and separately highlights Bee Nest blocks.

If you would rather skip manual file juggling, the foxygame.net launcher handles the heavy lifting: it installs ESP in one click and keeps every add-on in your catalog updated automatically, so your highlight setup never breaks after a mod refresh.

How to Install ESP

Setup is straightforward once you have the prerequisites in place.

  • Install Fabric Loader for your Minecraft version.
  • Install Fabric API.
  • Install PlayerAPI 1.18.0 or newer.
  • Install YetAnotherConfigLib.
  • Install ModMenu if you want a settings button in the mod list, though it is optional.
  • Drop the esp-*.jar file into your mods folder.

When you are ready to download ESP, grab the build that matches your game version. ESP targets one Minecraft version at a time, so when it updates to a new version, older releases receive no backports or bug fixes. The in-game update checker is version aware and will tell you if the latest release targets a different Minecraft version than the one you are running instead of pushing an incompatible build.

Version Support and Loader

ESP runs on Fabric Loader and requires Java 25 for the current release line. Support is version-specific by design. If you want the newest features, stay on the mod's currently supported Minecraft version. If you prefer an older version, remain on that version's last release and accept that it will not be updated further.

Conflicts and Range Limits

One hard conflict deserves attention: xray-entity. It forces the glow outline off on every mob it has not selected, so ESP's highlighted mobs never outline through walls. Removing it costs you nothing, because Mob ESP now does everything xray-entity does. Sodium, Embeddium, and Rubidium without Iris, plus EntityCulling, may suppress the glow outline depending on your setup, but are not guaranteed to. ESP detects all of these on world join and posts a one-time warning, with a click-to-dismiss link and a /esp nowarn command. When the through-wall glow is blocked, the depth-tested overlay still highlights mobs in line of sight.

Range is limited by what the server sends your client. On Hypixel that is roughly 40 to 48 blocks for mobs, and floating text labels often stop arriving sooner, so per-group scan radius is capped at 48.

Final Thoughts

ESP is a passive highlighter with no HUD, no automation, and no clutter. With ten independent groups, sticky highlights that resist flicker, per-category keybinds, and dedicated modes for mobs, blocks, gemstones, and Safari critters, it covers nearly every search task a SkyBlock player faces. Install the prerequisites, match your version, and let the labels do the work.
