Diamethyst Arrows
If you have ever wished your bow could do more than just deal damage, Diamethyst Arrows is the add-on you have been waiting for. This expansion to the Diamethysts mod introduces a wide arsenal of specialized arrows, each with its own tactical twist. Whether you want to slow enemies with sticky webs, light up caves with glowing projectiles, or turn the battlefield into a hazard zone, this add-on delivers variety that vanilla Minecraft never could.
One important note before you dive in: the base Diamethysts mod is a required dependency. Diamethyst Arrows for Minecraft will not function without it, so make sure both files are installed together. The add-on is designed for Forge and supports Minecraft 1.20.1 and 1.21.1, with no Fabric port planned at this time.
What Makes These Arrows Different?
The original Diamethysts mod added bows and arrows that kept a vanilla feel. When the developer brainstormed extra arrow concepts, many ideas felt too wild for the main mod. Instead of discarding them, those concepts were collected into this standalone add-on. The result is a collection of arrows that you can use as much or as little as you like. The choice is entirely yours.
Utility and Trap Arrows
Diamethyst Web Arrow
Tipped with sticky web goo, this arrow slows any mob it strikes and places a cobweb when it hits a block. After the web is placed, the arrow reverts to a regular Diamethyst Arrow. Craft it by brewing a cobweb with a thick potion, adding Diamethyst Dust, then surrounding the potion with Diamethyst Arrows. You get the bottle back after crafting.
Diamethyst Weeping Arrow
Coated in obsidian tears, this arrow inflicts the same nasty effects as drinking Bottled Obsidian Tears. There is a small chance it will place tears back onto obsidian blocks, though this breaks the arrow. Obtain Bottled Obsidian Tears by using an empty bottle on crying obsidian.
Diamethyst Wither Arrow
On impact, this arrow generates a wither cloud that applies a withering effect for five seconds, configurable in the settings. These arrows retain their effect and can be reused until they hit a mob. They also deal bonus damage to wither skeletons. A wither skull is required for the recipe.
Smoke and Signal Arrows
Diamethyst Smoke Arrow
Charge these arrows by placing Diamethyst Arrows around a campfire. Once charged, they pop off and are ready to use. When one hits a block, it sends up a tall column of smoke, perfect for signaling. After use, recharge it on a campfire. Hitting a mob deals normal damage with no smoke.
Diamethyst Colored Smoke Arrows
Combine Smoke Arrows with any dye except white to change the smoke color. Behavior is otherwise identical to standard smoke arrows, giving you a colorful way to coordinate with friends.
Elemental and Environmental Arrows
Diamethyst Prismarine Arrow
This arrow fires underwater without penalty and deals increased damage to submerged mobs. Note that in version 1.21.1, it has been moved into the main Diamethysts mod.
Diamethyst Water and Lava Arrows
The Water Arrow spawns water at the impact point, reverting to a normal arrow afterward. It does not work in the Nether, but if placement fails, you can collect it and try again. The Lava Arrow works the same way but spawns lava instead.
Sponge Arrows
Water Sponge Arrows soak up water on contact, becoming Wet Water Sponge Arrows that fly slower and deal little damage. Dry them in a furnace or by firing them in the Nether. Lava Sponge Arrows absorb lava and become Saturated Lava Sponge Arrows, which set mobs on fire. Cool them by firing into powdered snow.
Diamethyst Glow Arrow
This arrow illuminates its surroundings as it flies and lights up where it lands. It does not work underwater. Striking a mob makes it glow for ten seconds, configurable.
Diamethyst Dragon's Breath Arrow
Generates a large dragon's breath cloud at the impact point. Like the Ender Dragon's attack, the cloud harms living beings but not undead mobs.
If you want a smoother way to manage all these additions, the foxygame.net launcher offers a curated add-on catalog where Diamethyst Arrows can be installed alongside its required dependency in just one click, keeping everything version-matched automatically.
