Create More Conveyor
If you have spent any real time building factories in Create, you know the pain of a chain conveyor that just barely fails to reach the next machine. You shuffle blocks around, add an ugly pillar, or scrap the layout entirely. Create More Conveyor exists to kill that problem. This focused add-on expands the vanilla chain conveyor system with new connector types and, in its work-in-progress branch, curved conveyor belts that route like train tracks. It is a drop-in upgrade, meaning no new blocks to learn and no bloated tech tree to climb.
What Create More Conveyor Actually Adds
The core idea is simple: give you more ways to span gaps using materials you already carry. Instead of only chains, you can now link conveyors with ropes, copper nuggets, zinc nuggets, iron nuggets, brass nuggets, and gold nuggets. Each connector has its own maximum span, speed multiplier, and material cost, so choosing the right one becomes a genuine logistics decision rather than a cosmetic one.
The Connector Lineup
- Chain — 32 blocks, 1.00x speed, costs 13 chains at max span
- Rope (Lead) — 32 blocks, 0.75x speed, costs 10 leads
- Copper Nugget — 48 blocks, 0.90x speed, costs 18 nuggets
- Zinc Nugget — 56 blocks, 1.05x speed, costs 25 nuggets
- Iron Nugget — 64 blocks, 1.00x speed, costs 26 nuggets
- Brass Nugget — 80 blocks, 1.25x speed, costs 40 nuggets
- Gold Nugget — 96 blocks, 1.50x speed, costs 59 nuggets
Costs follow Create's own formula, ceil(distance divided by 2.5), multiplied by the connector's default multiplier. A 40-block span, for example, needs 16 chains, 12 rope, 15 copper nuggets, 17 zinc nuggets, 16 iron nuggets, 20 brass nuggets, or 24 gold nuggets. That means a long gold-nugget line is fast but expensive, while rope is cheap but sluggish. Balancing throughput against material cost is where the fun lives.
Curved Conveyor Belts: The WIP Feature
The experimental side of the add-on introduces curved conveyor belts. You place them much like train tracks: click two endpoints and the belt auto-routes along a smooth Bezier curve. These belts keep full kinetic integration, transport items and entities, support belt processing, and accept dye for color coding. The developer is upfront that this part still has rough edges, so treat it as a preview rather than a finished system. Even so, being able to bend a belt around a machine cluster without a chain of ninety-degree corners changes how compact your builds can be.
Supported Versions and Loaders
Create More Conveyor supports Minecraft 1.20.1 on Forge and Minecraft 1.21.1 on NeoForge. The 1.20.1 Forge build requires Forge 47.1.33 or newer alongside Create 6.0.7 or newer. The 1.21.1 NeoForge build requires NeoForge 21.1.210 or newer and Create 6.0.6 or newer. The add-on relies on focused mixins rather than broad overhauls, which keeps performance tight and makes it safe for multiplayer servers where every tick counts.
How to Install Create More Conveyor
Installation is the standard modded routine, and knowing how to install it takes about two minutes.
- Confirm your Minecraft version and loader match a supported build
- Install the correct Create version for that loader first
- Place the Create More Conveyor jar file into your mods folder
- Launch the game once so the config file generates
- Open config/createmoreconveyor-server.toml to tweak ranges and cost multipliers
Chain-style connectors automatically use the higher value between Create's global limit and the add-on's own setting, so you never accidentally nerf your existing setups. If you would rather skip the manual file juggling, the foxygame.net launcher handles the whole process for you: it detects your installed loader and version, then installs Create More Conveyor with a single click from its curated add-on catalog.
Quality-of-Life Details Worth Noting
Small touches separate polished add-ons from rushed ones. Create More Conveyor ships custom textures for every connector, correct item refunds when you break a link, and smarter distance checks that measure from the conveyors' own positions instead of the player's location. That last fix matters more than it sounds, because it prevents connectors from silently failing when you build from a distance.
When you download Create More Conveyor for Minecraft, you are getting a lightweight extension that respects the balance of the base mod rather than trampling it. Whether you want a cheap rope bridge between two distant drills or a high-speed gold-nugget artery feeding your main storage, the tools are there. Grab it, bend a few belts, and watch your factory floor finally connect the way you always sketched it on paper.
