TBS QOL+ Mod Review: Essential Quality of Life Upgrades for ASA

TBS QOL+

Surviving the harsh landscapes of ARK: Survival Ascended often means wrestling with inventory management, taming logistics, and the constant need to streamline your base operations. While the core game offers a deep and rewarding experience, the quality-of-life gaps can sometimes slow down your momentum. Enter TBS QOL+, a community-driven mod designed specifically to bridge those gaps and let you focus on the adventure rather than the administrative grind. Developed by Lordan_LaFleur for the TBS community, this add-on is quickly becoming a staple for players who want a smoother, more efficient survival experience.

What Does TBS QOL+ Add to Your Game?

At its core, TBS QOL+ is about smart, practical enhancements. The mod introduces a suite of new cryopods and cryofridges, alongside a selection of specialized tools, all aimed at making your day-to-day life in the Ark easier. Instead of juggling multiple mods to get the functionality you need, this pack consolidates essential utilities into one cohesive package. The developer has also confirmed that many new features will be added over time, meaning the mod is a living project that evolves with community feedback and needs.

Revamped Cryopods and Cryofridges

Cryopods are a lifesaver for anyone who travels with multiple tames, but their limitations can be frustrating. TBS QOL+ reimagines these tools with enhanced functionality. The new cryopods offer improved storage mechanics and retrieval processes, reducing the time you spend scrolling through menus. Pair these with the upgraded cryofridges, which boast larger capacity and faster cooling rates, and you have a system that keeps your tames ready for action without the usual hassle. Whether you are a solo player or managing a large tribe, these upgrades are a game-changer for logistical efficiency.

Handy Tools for Daily Survival

Beyond creature management, TBS QOL+ introduces a set of tools designed to cut down on repetitive tasks. While the mod description keeps specifics under wraps to encourage discovery, the focus is clearly on reducing friction. Expect utilities that help with resource gathering, base maintenance, or even navigation. The beauty of this mod is its simplicity; you install it, and the improvements feel native to the game. It is developed for both PC and consoles, ensuring that the entire ARK: Survival Ascended player base can enjoy these benefits regardless of their platform.

Compatibility and Performance

One of the biggest concerns with any mod is whether it will break your game or conflict with other add-ons. TBS QOL+ is built with stability in mind, supporting the latest versions of ARK: Survival Ascended. The mod is designed to be lightweight, minimizing performance hits even on larger servers. It also plays well with other popular mods, though it is always wise to check the mod's Discord for the latest compatibility updates. The community actively tests and reports issues, ensuring that the mod remains stable through game updates. For those who prefer a seamless experience, the mod's architecture avoids the heavy scripting that often causes lag, making it a safe addition to your load order.
